Aserra Export S.A., together with Madera de los Saltos S.A., makes up an economic conglomerate which manages a 2500 Ha native virgin extension in the Paraná forest. The forest is located in the Yobotí Biosphere Reserve, San Pedro Department, west of the province of Misiones, Argentina. (See raw material extraction area).

Wood extraction is conducted in line with a Forest Management Plan, which meets high standards ensuring the sustainable exploitation of the native forest with the purpose of preserving native FLORA and FAUNA. Our company is on the point of starting to develop the international FSC standards certification process.

We have the first and unique traceability computerized system, which enables us to conduct a bar code strict control allowing for the accurate classification and counting of all rolls from different species, either inside or outside the forest or sawmill. This enables us to ensure our customers the control over the species we manage, thus preserving, at the same time, both, the native forest and the environment.

This is where native wood rolls are processed into boards and beams, dried in chambers, and, some of them, processed as strips for wooden flooring, pieces and parts of furniture both for export and for the national industry.
